Creamy Lotus Biscoff Energy Drink: 1-Minute Vegan Boost

  • Author: Lara
  • Total Time: 2 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick, vegan, and creamy energy drink that tastes like a dessert but provides steady, jitter-free energy. Ready in under two minutes with pantry-friendly ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) Lotus Biscoff Spread (smooth)
  • 1 medium frozen banana (peeled, sliced, approx. 100g)
  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, oat, or soy)
  • 1 scoop (25-30g) vegan protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 handful spinach (10g)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • Optional: 3-4 ice cubes
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp hearts

Instructions

  1. Prep ingredients: Ensure the banana is frozen. Peel and break into chunks. Measure milk, Biscoff spread, and protein powder.
  2. Add liquids to blender: Pour plant-based milk and vanilla extract into the blender first to create a vortex.
  3. Add soft ingredients: Add Biscoff spread, protein powder, and any optional add-ins like spinach or chia seeds. Push powder into milk slightly to prevent clumps.
  4. Add frozen fruit: Top with frozen banana chunks and ice (if using).
  5. Blend: Start on low speed for 10 seconds, then increase to high. Blend for 30-45 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. Adjust consistency: If too thick, add a splash of milk. If too thin, add more frozen banana or ice.
  7. Serve: Pour immediately into a glass. Garnish with extra Biscoff drizzle or cinnamon if desired. Drink fresh.

Notes

[‘Use frozen bananas for a thick, creamy texture without watering it down with ice.’, ‘Drink immediately as the smoothie separates if left to sit.’, ‘For meal prep, freeze banana chunks and pre-portion dry ingredients in bags.’, ‘Ensure protein powder is fully dissolved by blending milk and powder first if using a less powerful blender.’]
