Description
A refreshing, restaurant-quality frozen strawberry daiquiri made with real fruit, white rum, and lime juice. This easy summer cocktail blends in under five minutes for a smooth, slushy texture perfect for parties or relaxing evenings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled if fresh)
- 2 ounces white rum (e.g., Bacardi Superior or Havana Club 3 Year)
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 1 to 1.5 cups ice
- Optional: 4-6 mint leaves
- Optional: 1 tablespoon coconut cream
- Optional: Salt or sugar for rimming glasses
Instructions
- Prep ingredients: Wash and hull fresh strawberries, squeeze lime juice, and measure rum and simple syrup.
- Load the blender: Add strawberries to the blender first, followed by the ice to help process evenly.
- Add liquids: Pour in the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup. Add mint or coconut cream if using.
- Blend: Start on low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for 30-60 seconds until smooth and slushy.
- Adjust: Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more syrup or lime juice as needed.
- Serve: Pour into chilled glasses. Rim with salt or sugar if desired, garnish with strawberry or mint, and serve immediately with a thick straw.
Notes
For the best texture, use frozen strawberries or add extra ice if using fresh ones. Freeze glasses for 15 minutes before serving to keep the drink cold. Blend in batches for parties to prevent blender overheating. Adjust sweetness based on the natural sweetness of the strawberries.
