Description
A creamy, caffeinated cocktail made with cold brew, vodka, and vanilla syrup, topped with a light vanilla cold foam. It’s a sophisticated, easy-to-make drink that requires no special equipment.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 oz (45ml) Cold Brew Coffee or Chilled Espresso
- 1.5 oz (45ml) Vodka
- 0.5 oz (15ml) Vanilla Syrup
- Ice (for shaking)
- 2 oz (60ml) Heavy Cream (cold)
- 1 tsp (5ml) Vanilla Syrup (for foam)
- Few drops Vanilla Extract (for foam)
- Optional: ½ tsp Instant Espresso Powder (for foam)
Instructions
- Brew espresso and let it cool completely, or prepare cold brew concentrate.
- Fill a cocktail shaker or large mason jar with ice.
- Add vodka, cold brew coffee, and vanilla syrup to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is frosty.
- Pour heavy cream into a small bowl or frother cup.
- Add vanilla syrup, vanilla extract, and optional instant espresso powder to the cream.
- Froth or whisk the cream until it forms soft peaks.
- Strain the shaken coffee mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Spoon or pour the vanilla cold foam over the top of the drink.
- Garnish with a drizzle of vanilla syrup if desired.
Notes
Keep all ingredients cold to prevent dilution. Do not use hot espresso as it will melt the ice. The foam should be soft peaks, not stiff. You can make the base ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to 2 days, but make the foam fresh for each serving.
