Description
A thick, creamy, and nutritious smoothie bowl that requires no cooking. Packed with frozen fruit, protein, and healthy toppings, it offers a vibrant and satisfying breakfast experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large frozen banana (sliced and frozen, approx. 150g)
- 1 cup frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, or mix, approx. 150g)
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
- 1 handful spinach (approx. 30g)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/4 cup granola
- 1/2 cup fresh fruit (sliced strawberries, banana, kiwi, or mango)
- 1 teaspoon nut butter (almond or peanut)
- 1 tablespoon coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon seeds (hemp, pumpkin, or sunflower)
- 1 teaspoon dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Slice bananas and freeze them solid. Ensure frozen berries are ready.
- Add frozen bananas, frozen berries, almond milk, Greek yogurt, spinach, chia seeds, and protein powder to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Use a tamper if available. Blend until the mixture is thick and creamy, resembling soft-serve ice cream. Add milk one tablespoon at a time if too thick.
- Pour the thick smoothie mixture into a wide, shallow bowl. Spread evenly to create a flat surface.
- Arrange toppings creatively: fresh fruit, granola, nut butter drizzle, coconut flakes, seeds, and chocolate chips.
- Serve immediately to prevent toppings from getting soggy and the base from melting.
Notes
Use frozen fruit for the best thick consistency. Fresh bananas make the bowl watery. Add crunchy toppings just before eating to maintain texture. If the bowl is too thin, add more frozen fruit; if too thick, add liquid one tablespoon at a time.
