Description
A light, refreshing, and hydrating summer smoothie made with coconut water, frozen mango, and banana. It requires zero prep time, contains no added sugar, and provides natural energy without the crash.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 cups coconut water
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks
- 1 medium ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 4–5 fresh mint leaves
- 0.5 cup ice (optional)
- 1 handful spinach (optional)
- 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon coconut cream (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the lime and mint leaves. Cut the lime in half and peel the banana, breaking it into chunks.
- Pour the coconut water into the blender jar first to help the blades spin freely.
- Add the fresh lime juice to the blender.
- Add the banana chunks and any soft add-ins like spinach or chia seeds.
- Add the frozen mango chunks on top of the other ingredients.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed.
- Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately.
Notes
For best texture, use frozen fruit rather than ice to avoid dilution. If using fresh fruit, freeze it in a single layer first. Add lime juice immediately after blending to prevent browning. Drink immediately as it may separate after 10-15 minutes.
